Tired of my ZXR, bought a new one.

Alles was die Technik der ZXR betrifft, aber in keine andere Rubrik paßt.

Tired of my ZXR, bought a new one.

Beitrag von Flemming »

Hi guys!

Sorry to say but I've come to the point where I'm letting my ZXR750/900 rest for a while.
I took it to the track last week and rode it to its absolute limit and that's when I decided to let it be. I've put thousand of euros in it but it doesn't run like I want it too and I'm sick of it now.
I've been riding these ZXR's for 15 years now. I still have my ZXR400R which I enjoy. My girlfriend rides it too.

So I just came home with this one:

It was a choice between this, the regular R1 or the ZX-10R.
I rode it now for 300km like crazy and it's in my garage for an oil change. At 500/600km it's up for one more oil change and then 1000km first service. After that it's ok to ride it regular again.

I can tell you that this is by far the greatest motorcycle that I've ever ridden. The way it handles is second to none and with 200 horsepower I will probably never master it to the limit.

I will never sell my ZXR-R but it just feels way too old now.
I'll try to post a picture of what I did with my first ZXR750.

I found one.
This is my first heavy motorcycle that I bought when I was 20 years old back in 2001. It is in absolute mint condition. Everything is still there from 1992. 100% original with toolkit and everything.
One day when I get some extra money over I will put it in working condition. Right now it needs to clean the carburators and change all the fluids. It hasn't been started in 7 years now.

I was at a track day yesterday and in the end I was dead tired.

So I crashed my new R1M.

Yes, I really hate myself right now. 1150km on the ODO.

It is fixable, but it will cost around 2.500-3.000€. The engine runs.

Maybe it's a sign that I should get it down to LKM and let them make it better for me :)

Anyway, I'm drinking like a fucktard and being suicidal. Sure, it's just a bike - but I loved it all 4 weeks I had it.

Uhhh,

that`s fucking hard to crash after owning it only a few weeks
"only" 3 to 4 K is okay in comparrison to the costs of the whole bike but it` s still a big amount of money...

I hope my post was not one bit helpful.
If it was, I failed miserably. :rasta:
